The upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, airing on August 23rd, features Nisha Raj, an aspiring contestant from Patna, Bihar. Nisha’s story is particularly heartwarming, as she dreams of using her potential winnings to buy a house for her father. This would not only be her first significant earning but also a fulfilment of a cherished family dream.
Over 24 years, due to financial constraints, Nisha and her family have been moving house to house due to high rents. Her father’s daily earning is a mere 500 rupees per day, and while he works very hard, it is not enough for them to have their own house. But the one thing their father has ensured is that both his children are educated, so that they can lead a better life. With a humble dream in her eyes and a promise that she made to her father, Nisha shares that she wishes to add colours in the life of her parents; just like how her father does for others since he is painter.
24-year-old Nisha not only impressed Mr Bachchan with her smart gameplay but also won hearts with her sweet and meaningful gesture for her family. Being on KBC is a life changing opportunity to uplift their lifestyle as she wants use the winning amount to fulfil the dream of living in her own house. Big B also took note when Nisha spoke about how her father has to travel long distance by public transport wearing a slipper that used to often wear out; therefore she wants to use a part of the prize money to buy him a pair of shoes. In a touching moment, Amitabh Bachchan offered to gift Nisha’s father a pair of shoes.
Talking about coming to the hotseat, Nisha Raj said, “I have always dreamed of having a house to call my own, a place that represents not just shelter, but a dream, a symbol of respect and a reflection of my identity. Growing up, we never had a home of our own, as financial challenges forced us to keep moving from place to place. It was heart-wrenching to watch my father add vibrant colours to others’ homes, knowing that he could never do the same for his own.
